Learn the key engineering terms and concepts to understand bamboo’s structural and mechanical properties. Understand how to apply these properties to your design. Understand how we test bamboo’s structural properties, how to grade and select the best bamboo poles and how to set up some rudimentary bamboo tests.

In this module you will understand the different stages and phases of setting up your small bamboo building construction site. Learn to determine which joinery technique is most adapted for your project and how to use bamboo processing and carpentry in a small construction project. During the final challenge, you will be given the chance to build a small and simple bamboo structure based on our instructions, no matter where you are in the world! It will be something you can put up in your back-yard or in your living room!
